The Enemy Free World Cup Gig 11/03/10

According to the Press Association, The Enemy will headline a free gig for the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour. The Event will be held on March 11 at London's Earls Court 2 with 2,500 competition winners enjoying the free performance.

England striker Wayne Rooney will be at the event, showing off the 18-carat gold World Cup trophy.

Frontman Tom Clarke said: "We're really looking forward to it - it's a bit different from your usual gig and it's not every day you get the chance to get up close to the FIFA World Cup Trophy."

Tom Down On The Farm

THE ENEMY frontman TOM CLARKE is dog tired, reports The Sun - not from too much rock 'n' roll partying but from working on his farm.
The singer, who treated himself to a plot in the Midlands a few months ago, is finding it more work than play.

Tom said: "I've bought a farm and have been renovating it while the band have been on wind-down. But it's so much work! Honestly, I'm having second thoughts now.

"I bought it then realised I'd bitten off more than I can chew.

"It needs loads and loads of work, it's taking up all my time."

Tom admits: "I haven't got any animals yet. I don't really know anything about animals, having grown up in the city. I'm just trying to grow grass at the moment.

"I don't know if I can be responsible to look after animals.

"Pigs smell of their own s***. I reckon cows are going to get trendy soon so I might get some of them - Highland cows, the ones which look like sofas."

Quick tip, Tom: Sitting on Highland cattle is not advisable, especially on the end with the horns.

Signed Enemy Stuff Up For Grabs

The Enemy have signed a t-shirt for a very worthy cause (Music Beats Mines) and is available to bid on eBay until 06/12/09. Currently the t-shirt is just going for £5.99 (plus free P&P), but it would be a perfect addition to someone's collection, while helping rid the world of landmines.

Tom, Andy and Liam have also signed a beautiful electric guitar, made by independently owned UK-based guitar company Hutchins, worth over £250. The signed guitar is part of an auction to raise money for the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) and raffle tickets can be purchased online until 07/12/09.

Tom In Car Crash

Above is the picture of Tom Clarke's wrecked car after he was involved in an accident. The story and picture are from The Sun newspaper:

THE ENEMY frontman TOM CLARKE has totalled his new sports car days after getting it.
The frontman careered off a busy road and smashed his TVR 350c into a parking sign.

Luckily, no one was hurt. But Tom has released this snap of the wreck as a warning.

He wants festival-goers, especially you lot in Leeds and Reading this weekend, to go easy on the drive home. He said: "I'd only had the car four days!

"I lost it in the outside lane of the A90 on my way to Aberdeen. The car spun four times before hitting a barrier, then it left the road and went over a bollard before wrapping around a parking sign.

"Amazingly, there were no injuries. The crash felt like when you fall over trying to put your boxers on!"

It's not been a good couple of weeks for the band. Bassist ANDY HOPKINS is still struggling to walk after his Bizarre Masters shenanigans.

He only just managed to play V after busting his heel during a drinking game at my golf event.

Relaxing with mates at Reading yesterday, he said: "I had to stand on my toes for the whole gig. The crowd were going wild and I really wanted to join in, but I just couldn't.

"The pain was too intense. I'm alright as long as I've got painkillers. And a few beers help."

For about a day The Enemy's wikipedia article had Music For The People labelled as 'Riot Poems' I always thought that would be a good name for an album.

Andy In Hospital After Accident

As reported in The Sun, Andy had a trip to the hospital after falling over during a golfing game (ok, a few drinks were involved as well!)

Let's hope it doesn't mean he'll be on crutches for V Festival.

Tried to find the paperwork and couldn't find it but don't remember it having any details about how to ge the track!

I made sure I registered for them and everything went though fine, I'm not overly bothered about them, just pissed off cos my Mum spent an extra fiver to get them for me, and they haven't turned up and no news on when we're getting them!

Gig tickets have arrived though, even though it's not til November!

Okay. As the forum is getting a little busier, I thought it might be easier to have one thread where people can ask any burning questions concerning The Enemy.

This includes asking for footage, links, questions about tickets/gigs etc etc.

This way, if anyone else has the same question, it's easier to redirect people to here rather than having lots of question threads dotted around the forum :)

Digital release help

Hi. I am from the U.S. and unfortunately, cannot get some of the digital only releases from The Enemy. I am particularly interested in the newer B Sides and covers.

For some reason, none of these online digital stores allow you to purchase songs form other countries. I guess they have never heard of imports???

I am looking for someone who can help me purchase songs or else someone who can direct me to sites that have the songs and allow internation purchases.
