This is what Twisted Wheel wrote about The Inverness gig....(from their blog on Myspace)

Anyway, the gig went really well, stage sound was bang on and the crowd got it. The Enemy sounded great too, immediately after their set the fire alarm went off and everyone had to evacuate the building! We had a few drinks afterwards with Kid British and cracked open the bubbly that The Enemy had kindly given us.

Barrowlands last night was worse, they didn't play Red Tape or Silver Spoon, I suspect it was cos of the bag-pipe bloke they got on, but I was a bit gutted at the lack of new choons, would have liked to hear more of them, new ones I've not heard yet.

They're calling it the No Time For Tears tour though like they did with the Away From Here Tour, I recon they'll do a Music For The People tour October/November time.

The bar staff were shouting at us to go through the fire exit... then when I was outside towards telford street roundabout, there were three engines pulling up!! - my lucky night, I love (nice young) firemen:w00t:.. ha ha.. ok, I was a bit p****d, but I know that I didnt dream them!!!!

Hmm. For a tour so close to the album release there aren't many songs from the new album, considering SWYIL has been knocking around for a while anyway. I know that they obv don't want to bombard everyone with new stuff that most can't sing along to (taht'll obv change when the album is rleased and the songs become familiar to everyone) but I thought they'd be a few more.

Kid British were excellent - 7 of them..!!.. loved em....

Twisted Wheel, excellent again...

yeah, the 'normal' music on the pa (Verve etc..), then the new intro music & all the towns on the tour light up, Inverness stays up and on walk the lads....

It was the first time I seen them live and they were fantastic. The whole night was banter really because I had to stay overnight in a hotel because I live in Aberdeenshire. I want to see them again though. :crying:

i hope they play aberdeen aswell, but then again i liked travelling to a gig..

wouldnt mind newcastle or glasgow, only if it was at a weekend tho, make a proper weekend of it;)

why didnt ya stay the night in a travelodge like me?

left aberdeen about 12 and got there at 3 and the drinking started then:P

got back to the hotel afterwards n ko'd, was sooo tired..

but my god they were amazing.. tbh i wasnt impressed with the 1st support, 2nd support were a bit better..

love supports like that tho, makes ya want The Enemy to come out on stage even more:D

Absolute top night! Sounded quality, and for the first night of the tour as well everything was spot on.

Opened with Elephant Song which was banging! No time for tears also excellent. What a bounce like.

Only caught the last coupla tracks of Kid British but sounded good, away to add them on Myspace. Twisted Wheel were their usual rock'n'rolling selves!

Was gutted I had to drive back after, was well up for a party after that!!

So tomorrow Im leaving the South Coast and travelling up to Inverness...

Which is 598, yes, thats right 598 miles from my home, and no, Im not making the journey up by my Lambretta.. Im not driving, Im going by plane & train, so at least I can have a pint or two...;)
