was a great gig, ended up getting to near the front and glad I did because it was excellent down there. Was near the bloke at the end with all the glasses piled on top of each other, no idea what he was doing with them :D

Seemed to be a bit shorter than the last time they played o2 Academy and wasn't much from the new album. But that was probably for the best because the crowd seemed to know every song they sang.

Can't wait till the lads play again and I think I might try and get to more than one date next time

The security on the balcony were hilarious.

There was this one security woman trying to get people to sit down by just flapping her arms at everyone. Looked like she was trying to fly. I was nearly crying with laughter...

Shame that her amusing arm flapping antics were blocking me from being able to actually see the stage. :unsure:

Ray its a shame security ruined your night make sure you get standing next time ;) Although i really enjoyed the gig i have to say overall i think i preferred the previous gigs at the old venue. Crowd was awesome but i have to say Manchester topped it by a mile and overall i'd say Preston just edged it as my favourite date of of the tour :) Don't like not having any idea when i'll see the boys again though epecially as it may be some time :crazy:

Yeah, I was at the gig as well!

We managed to push our way to the second row, just in front of Tom again.

I could have sworn that if the gig would have lasted another 10 minutes i would have been unconscious due to the heat but it was really good fun!

Anyway,the gig was amazing making it probably the best and the most enjoyable birthday present that I have ever had! :)

Thanks for this post Fi. I was in the balcony and i admit i went a bit berserk at the start standing up and that, however i stood up to get a picture on my phone and three of them swarmed me like the SAS and then some dick behind in the crowd had a pop at me. Well that spoilt my night really so i went and stood in the bar area, where i bumped into Liams brother Ryan, who is a top lad, and managed to enjoy it there............unfortunately i could not really relax after which was a shame because i had been so excited for days.......nice to bump into Rob again!!!! :)

Traffic adding nearly an extra hour onto journey, not being able to find the new venue and the M6 being closed for return home but all in a days work for seeing The Enemy and as always totally worth it :) Brum date is usually top so worth the trip and as ever the crowd was on form, i kept looking round to soak it all in. I was at this one! Managed to get a spot on the barrier as well which I was really shocked at! Loved it to be honest. Sore ribs for me after that night :D. As always though, it went FAR too quickly for my liking, also, not enough new songs!

well I could hear the song but couldn't hear the words as such because it came on on the encore and was already quite deaf by that point :D

You were near front and coudlnt hear new song? Sounds like a good tune hopefully next album we be more like WLADITT rather MFTP as Tom did say.

Fantastic gig !! Really rocked last night - I got to first/second row right in the centre and my neck is still aching now :) I've posted some pics on the gallery too, from last night. Does anyone else have [problems using the >> icon to scroll along the gallery? Doesn't work on my PC or Mac.......

Just got home from the gig - good to see Ray, Jenny, John Dawkins, Liam's brother and a packed out venue all enjoying themselves on a cold winters evening.

I've written down my thoughts (for what they are worth) HERE and uploaded the final track from the night on YouTube.

Enjoyed the gig, yet it seemed to fly by really quickly!

For those who have seen The Enemy @ Birmingham before, don't forget the gig on Thursday night (26/11/09) is being held at O2 Academy Birmingham, 16-18 Horsefair, Bristol Street, Birmingham, B1 1DB (used to be located at 52-54 Dale End).
