Anyone here a fan? I have been since Hot Fuss and they're my favourite band.

I saw them at the beginning of this month and can't get enough of them.

I do love a bit of The Killers.

Used to have a massive thing for Brandon.

I think it's because he's not adverse to guyliner and glitter

Anyway, I think their a band that just seems to progress musically through the albums, even though they acheive stunningly different sounds.

Don't really know which I prefer though, the older, faster stuff, or the new stuff. It's all excellent

I think Hot Fuss and Sam's Town are great...but I really dislike Day and Age.

yeah, i basical share the same view as most of the people in this thread, first two albums where brilliant, plus the b-side album was brilliant, Mr Brightside is on of the greatest song ever imo but day in age was poor.

There's nothing wrong with glitter on blokes!

Look at Patrick Wolf, for instance.

Yes, so okay he currently has a boyfriend but he's beautiful!

..and sparkly.

and it only works on certain fellas, shall we say

I certainly wouldn't thrust a tub of Barry M onto any of the lads, for example.

I really like the first two albums, I was listening to their whole back catalogue including Sawdust last night, and I can definitely say I prefer the first two albums. That Spaceman song really annoys me though.

Yeah, I think Sam's Town was their best album, but I have nothing against Day and Age. They're changing by the album and manage to creats a different sound each time, yet keeping whatever it is that makes them so recognisable.

Hot Fuss was half pop singles and half Sams Town worthy material, IMHO. Still, an immense album that managed to get me and millions of other people hooked from day one!

I think Day and Age sounds more like Sam's Town than any other.. It kinda goes back to the Sam's Town lyrics. More personal. And the album sounds just as 'big' as Sam's Town, too.

Anyway, there's a brilliant new Killers forum if anyone is interested? Its called www.talkaboutthekillers.co.uk. Just do us a favour if you regster, please? Put 'GodSpeedYouBoy' as your reference? I'm trying to earn brownie points.

the latest stuff from the killers is total rubbish, the problem is they've got too big for there own good and nobody in their record company has the balls to say "sorry guys, that song is sh*t don't do it!" they're doing exactly the same as what oasis / rem etc etc did, thinking we can put out what we want cos everyone loves us and it doesn't matter if it's garbage we'll still make millions. the changing point was that diabolical christmas song - enough said i think!!!!!!!!
