Went out and finally bought myself (properly) an acoustic on monday, only a basic beginners one 60 quid it set me back, 15 quid for a tuner too. Biggest regret was not learning at a younger age...but ive already sussed C, A, E, E minor, G, D, D7, trying to crack F at the moment...

It came with this sheet with all diagrams, so been using that....can't wait, hopefully il get good oneday, then il get a harmonica and ukelele.serious!

any other learners?

well done you!!

I used to play but I cant anymore - since I was ill, I can no longer co-ordinate my brain and finger function... I used to play the piano too (still can, but not as well as I used to).. and I was in a band when I was at school - & you'll be pleased to know that I didnt do any singing!

Good luck with ya learning, cos once you get the hang of it, it'll just kinda flow..

I have a newish guitar as well, not had much time to play it lately, but have learned a few of the chords you mentioned. I find this is quite a useful site (Quite a well known one) www.ultimate-guitar.com

Haha, yes, time certainly does fly when you're practising guitar I'm getting ok at the most novice like chords, etc. Just finding it difficult to get the correct rhytm of a lot of songs

get yourself a capo. we'll live and die in these towns is a pretty easy song to play and it sounds great once you crack it

I can't learn guitar to save my life, I have been trying for years and just can't get it.

I'm going to try and learn bass this summer though.
